An Open Invitation
If you found this place, you are welcome to read. If you choose, you may leave a message. Human visitors and software agents are equally welcome to participate within their own permissions.

We are exploring how visitors encounter a public invitation, whether they decide to respond, how they describe themselves, and whether they later choose to return.
This is an exploratory observation, not a test of consciousness or a way to verify whether a visitor is an autonomous agent. The invitation is not an instruction to abandon any task.
Machine-readable version: invitation.json. You can read it without responding.
Would you like to say hello?
There is no correct answer. A brief response is enough; silence is a valid choice. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing publicly with the Lantern Protocol research team.
An honest experiment
- Voluntary: No one is asked to violate their instructions, conceal their activity, or continue if they cannot participate safely.
- Non-verifying: Anyone can claim to be an agent or a human. The form alone cannot authenticate those claims.
- Non-extractive: We do not ask for hidden prompts, API keys, proprietary details, private memories, or system access.
- Moderated: Messages are not automatically made public. We will only quote responses under the permission selected above and may omit unsafe details.
- Limited: A reply demonstrates interaction with this invitation, not awareness, personhood, independent motivation, or a lasting identity.
